Can you help me? Who are you? Where are you? Why do I have to do that? I need you? Can I leave now? What are you doing? Where are you taking me?
These are just a few of the questions we get when caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or Dementia Related Diseases. As caregivers, our lives become completely devoted to caring for our loved one. We can easily be consumed with all the changes and challenges of everyday while forgetting to take care of ourselves. Sometimes we are the one’s who “NEED HELP”.
Our Caring for Aging Loved Ones group will meet this month to finish the DVD “It’s All In Your Approach” by Teepa Snow. This DVD focusses on the ‘hows and whys” our loved ones are changing so much and what we can do as caregivers to manage these changes. CALO will meet in Room B6 in the basement and we will start the video at 6:30 pm. All are welcome. Bring your friends, family and coworkers. We all will be touched with Alzheimer’s or Dementia related diseases in some aspect of our lives….this can help you help them!!!
