Seasoned Saints Volunteer Opportunities:
Church Office - Join the volunteers who meet each Thursday morning to stuff bulletins, envelopes and do our mailers or answer phones. Contact Stephanie Mills, Office Manager, at ext. 224 for more information.
Visitation - Visit hospital patients and shut-ins, nursing homes and retirement centers through our Care Ministry. Contact Kelley Rowland, Director of Care Ministries, for more information on visitation, training and support roles.
Plain-O Helpers - This is a ministry sponsored by Seasoned Saints - primarily a group of retired volunteers who provide minor home maintenance and repair service for the older adults in our congregation and surrounding community. With a key focus on safety issues in the home, repairs are typically those that can be completed in three hours over a couple of work sessions. There is no charge for the help we provide. Donations are welcome to offset the cost of materials and to help others who are less fortunate. Volunteers meet each Friday to have fellowship and head out in teams of two or more for repairs scheduled for the day. We invite you to become a volunteer or recommend the program to a senior adult in your neighborhood. We are seniors reaching out to seniors in need and would like your help in spreading the word. Call Fred Clark at 469.366.4286 to volunteer or to give a referral.
Plain-O-Helpers has a new website! Check it out at http://plain-o-helpers.org.
Computers at Custer Road - A variety of classes are offered for Senior adults in our Computer lab, Room 211. We can always use volunteers to help assist students in the classrooms or to answer computer-related questions.
