Grief Ministry
Peace I leave with you…let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27God desires an abundant life for each of us—a deep, abiding joy in Him. When faced with devastating effects of loss, how do we regain the joy?
Grief Ministry, one of Custer Road UMC's Ministries of Care, addresses the difficulties and challenges of grief and brings Christ’s message of healing and hope to those experiencing loss.
· Life After Loss is a six-week grief recovery seminar that explores the grieving process and provides assistance in navigating loss. The course provides specific coping skills with compassionate spiritual nurturing.
· The Grief Support Group is a regular monthly gathering facilitated by the pastoral staff for grieving persons.
• The Road Home is a comprehensive guide for planning a funeral or memorial service for your loved one or yourself. Pick up your free copy at any of the welcome centers.
• When Death Has Touched Your Life is a collection of thoughts, poems, and prayers for a time of loss. Water Bugs and Dragonflies helps explain death to young children. Pick up a copy at the Welcome Centers for yourself or loved ones who may be grieving.
