The JOB career transition support program addresses the needs of anyone in the community looking for a new job after a job loss, preparing to change jobs, facing uncertain job security in the current economic climate, or returning to work after a long period out of the job market. We are pleased to offer our church members, as well as those across the community, professional job search guidance, resources and job leads through this ministry of care. We want to provide free of charge JOB support to anyone needing this type of assistance during times of job search and career transition.

JOB provides job search and career transition support from 6:30-8 p.m. each Tuesday evening.

AAA Networking is offered each week. This group is for the advanced job seeker who is ready to increase efficiency and ignite the job search. The Advanced Accountability Action (AAA) Networking meetings teach you to analyze your methods, set goals, share leads and discuss creative ideas to move to the next career step. Through accountability and encouragement you will see progress, gain new insights and help one another along the way. -Room B14

Résumé and Interview preparation is offered on the first Tuesday of the month. -Room B12

Special presentations by guest speakers on relevant topics are offered on the 5th Tuesday of the month, typically in Fellowship Hall A/B.

By providing career assistance at the same time each week, JOB enables those interested to make it a regular part of their schedule. Custer Road UMC’s career support ministry has provided job leads, career transition support, resume assistance and ongoing networking opportunities to anyone in the surrounding community since 1999.
