BED START

Saturday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings

Bed Start welcomes families and Sunday school classes to give families in our community a hand up, not a hand out. Meet in the parking lot across the street. Please deliver bedding/household donations to the parking lot across the street.

PEOPLE WHO LOVE PEOPLE

Monday and Thursday Mornings, 7:30-8:15 am

Help offer warm meals and warm hearts to the homeless and those with food insecurities in the NW Dart parking lot in east Plano.

BLOOD DRIVE

May 2, 8:00 am-1:00 pm

Need an excuse to get back to the church in person? Here is a great one! See your friends and save lives! Carter BloodCare will have two donation buses in front of the church from 8 am until 1 pm on Sunday, May 2. If you are 16 years of age, with parental approval, or 17 or older, in good general health, and weigh at least 110 pounds, you should be a good candidate. There is no wait time for donating blood after receiving any of the Covid-19 vaccines.

SPRING CREEK VILLAGE FOOD DISTRIBUTION

May 13

Box assembly will be from 9:00-10:00 am at the Salvation Army at 3528 14th St, Plano. Food distribution will be at 10:30 am at Spring Creek Village.
Masks and gloves are required and social distancing is expected.
You can also serve by writing notes of encouragement and pray for the families. Please bring notes to church front office by May 10, Attention: Lanie Williams.

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM

June 1 – August 6, Weekdays | Big Lake Park, Plano

We provide free lunches to children and adults. Help is needed with set-up, distributing lunches, interacting with children & adults and clean-up. Sign-up links coming soon. Monetary donations, V8, and packs of bottled water are needed.

PROJECT TRANSFORMATION VIRTUAL READING BUDDIES

Youth and adults are needed to listen to elementary aged children read to help keep up their reading skills.

FAMILY PROMISE ROTATION

July 4-11

Hosting families who are homeless. Serve as an Evening or Overnight Host, provide dinner, or laundry help after the rotation. We hose a ration quarterly 4 times per year. INFO SESSION – TBD

SCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION

July/August – Sort Supplies TBD

Items collected benefit Christie & Thomas Elementary Schools and Carpenter Middle School. Stay tuned for a complete list of items needed.

BACK TO SCHOOL TEACHER APPRECIATION BREAKFAST

Christie & Thomas Elementary Schools and Carpenter Middle School for teachers and staff. Volunteers needed to set-up, serve breakfast and clean-up. Tissues and disinfecting wipes are needed for teacher appreciation gift. Monetary donations accepted.
