The Agape Resource and Assistance Center provides critical housing and life skills that empower women and their children to transform from crisis and poverty to self-sustaining, fulfilling lives. In its first four years, Agape has grown from two beds and a crib to 13 housing units with 50 beds. They have provided housing and hope for 54 women head of household families with 76 children, 85% of which are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or trafficking. The average stay for Agape families is 12 months. 70% of the 54 women, along with their 32 kids have graduated from Agape with jobs that enable them to provide homes & stability for their children. The hearts, hands, and blessings of Custer Road UMC have helped changed each of the 130 lives Agape has touched to date!
