The Agape Resource and Assistance Center provides critical housing and life skills that empower women and their children to transform from crisis and poverty to self-sustaining, fulfilling lives. In its first four years Agape has grown from two beds and a crib to seven housing units with 35 beds. They have provided housing and hope for 39 women head of household families with 59 children. Agape has provided more than 25,000 nights of shelter and turned away 500 families in 2017 alone. The average stay for Agape families is 12 months. Twenty of the 39 women, and their 26 children, have graduated from Agape with jobs that enable them to provide homes and stability for their children. The hearts, hands and blessings of Custer Road UMC has helped changed each of the 98 lives Agape has touched to date!
