27 & Oak (Buckner International)-NEW IN 2021!
Handmade Items - Various Prices
It started with a dream to empower families to participate in the healing process of their community - to tangibly connect people from all over the world with one another - and help each other heal in the process. It's more than buying and selling. It's about journeying with people to create opportunity. They invest in artisans in Laan America and Africa to design, create and sell handmade items - empowering families to participate in the healing process of their community. They brought this idea to a couple of friends at Buckner International and set out to design a business to support Buckner’s redemptive work with children and families. Through Family Hope Centers, Buckner professional social workers come alongside struggling families to equip and empower them to reach their goals and end cycles of poverty and abuse. However, some of the men and women are gifted artisans, but have no way of accessing customers outside of their community, limiting their opportunity to earn enough to thrive. 27&Oak connects these artisans to people like you who want to make a difference with their purchases.
When you buy a handmade item, you are providing critical income for a family. You are helping with food and clothing. You are providing the funds for educating a child. You are providing life giving social services.

Agape Certificates of any amount for various needs
AGAPE RESOURCE & ASSISTANCE CENTER, Inc. is a holistic, innovative, servant ministry of peace and justice committed to "provide housing and transformational support services to homeless women, moms and their children that empower them to move from crisis and poverty to fulfilling self-sustaining lives.” We do this through a collaborative community continuum of care that enables Agape to connect with like-minded a
agencies to provide safe, stable housing, transformational support services and empowering hope to single women with a specific focus on their children. Over 85% of Agape’s women & children are victims of crisis, abuse & violence, some from human trafficking & all come without a support system to help them overcome the debilitating oppression of poverty & homelessness. In less than 8 years, Agape has served 190 unduplicated souls (80 women & 110 children) and helped 21 families survive COVID, including 4 families that had previously graduated but needed extra care to stay housed as a result of lost jobs or reduced hours. It is so hard to turn families
away, but we must each week because we are chronically filled to capacity. Thanks to the support of Custer Road UMC and our community, since opening in 2013, over 75% of the families Agape served have graduated with higher income, into housing they can afford with childcare, transportation and stable jobs that allow them to live within their means. Lasting transformation takes time, patience, compassion & faith: the cornerstones of the Agape mission.
Bed Start Certificates
Reusable Bed Start Shopping Bags - $5
Bed Start’s goal is to offer those in our own backyard a hand up by providing beds and basic home furnishings to those that have none. This mission serves homes where a struggling family, a proud veteran or a scared refugee may have found shelter, but have little else. Bed Start is always in need of three things….dianions of gently used furnishings, funds to purchase what isn’t donated and your me. With those three things we work to raise up our neighbors by delivering beds and furnishings with love. Celebrate the season by sending your prayers along with a token of love from Custer Road or by selecting from the Bed Start wish list below. Another wonder-ful
way to share the love this holiday season is to purchase household items on the Bed Start Amazon wish list. Families served by Bed Start are often without not just a bed, but the essential items on this list. Help families create a home!

Christ's Foundry United Methodist Mission stands at the corner of Webb Chapel and Park Lane, on the main thoroughfare of the North Bachman Community, on a bus stop, and within walking distance of two elementary schools where 99% of the children are on subsidized lunches and over 80% are "limited English proficient" students. This annual project provides much needed funds for the ministries and operations of Christ’s Foundry.

Equal Exchange is also a partner with the United Methodist Committee on Relief.
Gift of a Heifer - $500 | Flock of Chickens - $20 | Pig/Goat/Sheep - $120
Honeybees - $30 | Ark of Animals - $5,000 ...and many more!
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
This oo-quoted proverb is frequently used to describe Heifer's work. And, it's true. Heifer is in the business
of providing the tools to achieve self-reliance.
Chickens are a real value. Starting at six months, they can lay up to 200 eggs a year – a reliable source of
protein for children who otherwise subsist mostly on starches. Chicks are an elegant solution to improving
a family’s crop and their diet – and to the dilemma of what to give your socially aware friends this season.
A heifer and training from Heifer International bring health and hope to people in need. Better yet, your gii
mullplies, as the first female calf from your cow is passed on to another family – then they pass on an
animal of equal value, and so on. A cow can produce four gallons of milk per day – enough to drink, share
and still have some to sell. Milk transforms malnourished children in to healthy boys and girls. A healthy cow
can have a calf a year, so your gii helps a community become self-reliant. Heifer helped to launch the Grass
Roots Farmer’s Cooperative in Arkansas where they are raising chickens, turkeys, pigs and cows while
working together to share the cost of transport, processing and marketing their goods.

Imagine having nothing but dirty, bacteria-infested water to quench your thirst. To wash your clothes in.
To cook with. To bathe in. And to give to your children to drink. No one should live this way. But more than 884 million people around the world do. In fact, villages all over the world lose cherished loved ones daily as a result of water-related disease or because they spend long DAYS carrying water over long distances that are paved with dangerous conditions. Enough is enough. Because no human being should live this way. Living Water International is a Christian organizaaon dedicated to helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water and to experience "living water" - the gospel of Jesus Christ - which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. Through its work, Living Water International implements participatory, community-based water solutions in developing countries. It’s workers and volunteers train, consult, and equip villagers to implement solutions in their own countries. Living Water International also lead hundreds of volunteers on mission trips each year, working with local communities, under the leadership of nationals, to implement water projects such as shallow well drilling, pump repair, and hygiene education.
