Treasured Times Alzheimer’s Respite

Participants with early Alzheimer’s or dementia gather together in a fun, safe, loving environment that allows their caregivers – usually their spouses or children – a much needed break.

Treasured Times participants enjoy music, exercise, arts and crafts and reminiscing. Activities entertain participants while preserving their skills and improve self-esteem. Each participant is paired with a “Friend” to build meaningful relationships each week. The program is offered every Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and follows the PISD school calendar, including holiday observances. Snacks and drinks are provided and participants and volunteers are asked to bring their own lunch. The cost is $10 per week and scholarships are available.

There is an admission process required to attend. Learn more on our Treasured Times page.
