In Bed by Christmas

Luke 2:8-20 Lifts us up again this year as we reflect on its text.  Who can help but smile as you read the familiar verses of the angel sharing the good news “…Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.”  As the world embraces this message as it prepares for the holiday season, Bed Start prepares to carry this message to our community by lifting children off the floor.  Our faith calls us as individuals to share this good news.  How do you plan to do this, to exercise your faith, this Christmas?  The shepherds brought gifts to the baby in the manger.  What a wonderful action we can emulate today.  Be a shepherd!  Bring gifts of beds and household items to our neighbors in need.  Pull your friends and family together this season and make your own trek into our community to carry this message.
