One hour a week + one caring adult + one child in need= one changed life!
Join the 40 Custer Road UMC current mentors and become an adult who is changing the life of a PISD student! Custer Road is looking for caring adults who are willing to spend 30 minutes to an hour once a week mentoring a child at either Christie or Thomas Elementary Schools. No special training is needed – only a desire to intentionally build a relationship with a student. Both you and the student you mentor will be immeasurably blessed!
The need is great – 35 mentors are needed at Christie Elementary and five at Thomas Elementary. Many of these students come from single parent families and crave just a little one-on-one attention from a caring and committed adult. If you are feeling a call in this New Year to help change the life of a child, please contact Pam Peterson via email at pamp@petersonsemail.us for additional information.

Kory and Christie principal Ryan Steele mentioned during service today that there will be an information session on mentoring program. I can not find it ANYWHERE on website (calendar; home page; mission page). Please advise.
Hi Stephanie. The mentor program information session will be held on Saturday, February 3, from 2-3pm in the Upper Room. You can access this event by going to http://www.crumc.org/mentor. Thank you for your interest. If there’s anything else we can help with, just let us know. Have a blessed day!
