The Collin County Committee on Aging is collecting Harvest Boxes for senior citizens in its Meals on Wheels Program that will be delivered to them in the month of November. This year the boxes are even more important for seniors who are staying home due to the Covid 19 virus. Custer Road’s goal is to collect at least 150 boxes! Flyers with the items requested are available below. Interested volunteers should print a flyer, collect the non-perishable food items, as well as extras such as toiletries, postage stamps and puzzle books; package them in a box and return them to the church. Please use boxes about the size of a box of printer paper. Boxes decorated for the season are appreciated. Please no bows or 3D items as they do have to be stackable. We are having a Box Decorating Contest that will be judged by our Church Staff! More info to come on that! Boxes can be returned during church office hours to the bin just inside the church doors near the front office and to the Mission Donation Area beginning September 8 and no later than September 28.
Please contact Tom Hutson at email@example.com and discover how easy it is to brighten the season for someone who might otherwise have to do without.
