Are you wanting to get involved in #CRMissions?
Here are ways you can serve offsite and from your home!
Agape Resource and Assistance Center
- Housing
- Adopt a family - provide encouragement and lift their spirits with an occasional card, email, maybe provide a meal. Provide special birthday or holiday support. Be creative on ways to help these single moms provide happy, encouraging environment for their families!
- Quality Family Time - Moms come home from work tired. They love to spend quality time with their kids, but are often too tired and rushed to figure out what would work. Create a Family Activity Box, fun for the whole family. Here are some ideas
- Puzzles
- Deck of cards - Go Fish, Uno, etc.
- DVD movie and popcorn
- Board games for all ages
- Be creative - create memories!
- Childcare and Development
- Birthday in a box - imagine how it would be if a family could not afford even a cake for their children's birthday. Create a birthday party in a box: fill a box with a cake mix, icing, paper plates and napkins, a blank birthday card mom can sign.
- Create a fun and memorable celebration for kids age 1-16
- Crafty Kids - put together craft and activity bags to help kids learn creatively and have fun at the same time.
- Education
- Tutor for success - our moms and kids need help with difficult subjects, usually math. Your help getting ready for tests and helping with homework will help them succeed.
- Wheels 4 Success
- Ride Share - when moms work full time, it is hard to get kids to their after-school activities or after school care. Build a team to help moms get kids to where they need to be.
