Who is S.O.U.L. Church?

For 21 years a pastor, Leon Birdd, and a team of committed volunteers have fed, cared for, clothed and worshiped Dallas’ homeless community. In those years, tons of clothes have been collected and distributed.

The need for clothing is great. The wear and tear of street life shorten the life of clothes considerably. And with no closet or safe place to store clothes, what you own is what you wear. SOUL Church meets the needs of the homeless where they live – on the streets. Each Sunday for over 20 years, a team of ministers and volunteers build a church, provide worship, food, and clothing to the homeless of Dallas. Each year, over 15,000 people benefit from the generosity of this mission.

How Can You Help?

For the last three years, CRUMC has supported S.O.U.L. Church by collecting new socks and underwear and gently used durable clothing.

Last year, we collected and donated over 1,000 pairs of socks, 300 pairs of underwear and almost 20,000 pounds of clothing! Almost 10 tons of love from Custer Road UMC!

February is our month to donate new socks, underwear, and gently used durable clothing. Please join us in helping almost 15,000 of the “least of them”.

Please share your blessings and donate by bringing donations to the Mission Donation area.
