You’re invited to a Baby Shower on March 31 & April 7!

The mission of the PISD School Age Parent Program is to provide both practical and emotional support that expectant or parenting teens need to stay in school, stay on track for graduation and be the best parents they can be. Help us help them by showering Plano teen parents with gifts (new unwrapped items) for their infants/toddlers on March 31 and April 7.

Items requested include: diapers (sizes newborn, 1, & 4-6. sizes 2-3 are not needed at this time), wipes, baby clothes, blankets, bouncers, pack n plays, car seats, strollers, crib mattresses crib, crib sheets, baby bags, books, puzzles, safe toys and Wal-Mart gift cards. Please bring items to the table in The Commons or to the bin in the Mission Donation Area.

At the graduation celebration in May, Custer Road will help students exchange bonus bucks (earned for good grades, attending parenting classes, taking babies to well-checks, etc.) for new baby items. Gifts you bring not only provide much-needed material support but reward for students’ efforts to graduate and become capable and loving parents.

Won’t you help us surround these young parents and their families with the love of Christ? Volunteers are also needed to provide child care at the monthly meeting on April 24. Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and just a couple hours of your time can positively impact Plano families and our entire community.
