Associate Director of Friday Nite Friends & Special Needs Ministries

After 24 years teaching special education in Plano, I retired and became the Director of the Special Needs Ministry at CRUMC.  In 1995 Lynda Guerrero, the founder of Friday NITE Friends, asked me if I would be the coordinator of the program and a consistent person for the parents to see each week.   My son was born with a disability so it is a really good fit for me. I am fully aware of the challenges involved in raising a child with a disability.   I feel blessed to be part of such a wonderful ministry!

Favorite scripture: I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:3 Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22

What do most people not know about you? I am very shy and even break out in hives when I have to talk to a group.

Who has inspired you the most in your life and why? My sister-in-law, Donna, because she always has a positive attitude and trusts completely in the Lord. Also, my son Clint, because he has had to overcome more in his lifetime than most people.
