Chris S. Brunt, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, joined the Custer Road UMC staff in January of 2017. He has music degrees from Millsaps College (B.M.), and Westminster Choir College (M.M.). After 25 years in academia, Chris moved to Dallas in 2001 and served for 15 years as Music Associate/Organist at Highland Park UMC. He has been a church musician and musicologist for the past 44 years, a member of The American Guild of Organists since 1977 (present historian for the Dallas Chapter), and a member of The Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts since 2003. Chris is an active organist/pianist/accompanist and tenor in the DFW area regularly performing with various choirs, soloists, instrumentalists, and conductors.
