A member since 1997, I joined the staff at Custer Road UMC in September 2013. As your Director of Adult Ministry my purpose, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit involves creating and fostering environments that cultivate, grow and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ. Through Bible studies, Sunday school, special events and various forms of connection, my goal is to offer creative and enriching educational opportunities that meet people right where they are in their faith journey and aid in moving them to a deeper relationship with Christ.
Favorite scripture: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” — Romans 12-1-2 (NRSV)

What do most people not know about you? In my youth I had a horrible stuttering problem that I overcame through years of speech therapy.
Who has inspired you the most in your life and why? There are two individuals who have had a huge impact on my life. The first is my mother. She is the epitome of elegance and poise. She taught me that good manners is more than simple rules of etiquette, they are in fact a life perspective that helps you focus on others first and develop confidence and dignity in all situations. The second was my Grandmother. This saint of women taught me to intentionally look for and see God everywhere, in everything and in everyone.
