The Rev. Morrison was born in Independence, Missouri, and, as a preacher’s kid, moved many times within the state. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Central Methodist College, his Master of Sacred Music from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, and came to Custer Road UMC in 1985. He was consecrated a Deacon in 1997 and elected Chair of the Division of Deacons for the North Texas Conference. Tim currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Perkins, teaching a Church Youth Choir Course to divinity students. Tim directs Revelation and the Chancel Choir, supervises the 24 other music ensembles and serves as the Worship Staff person. He and his wife, Lynda, have two adult children, Jenna and Mason and a grandson, Cayden.

Who has inspired you the most in your life and why? Roger Deschner who gave me a vision of being a minister and musician.
