Custer Road UMC has supported Project Transformation in many ways for 20 years and this is our fourth year to participate in their annual Holiday Toy Drive. Project Transformation is a non-profit organization that provides summer day camps and after-school programs for over 1,000 children and youth in underserved communities throughout North Texas. Their mission is to engage young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry, support underserved children and families and connect churches to communities in need.
We are collecting toys for children, ages 6-11, and the price range for each toy should be $$15-$20. Choose a toy ornament off of the UMW Joys & Toys tree or you may also choose an ornament to sponsor a child’s Project Transformation registration, which is $25, at the Alternative Gift Market on Sundays, November 4 and 11. Return the unwrapped toy with the corresponding ornament attached to the Joys & Toys table at the Alternative Gift Market or in The Commons on Sunday, November 18. You may also drop off donations in the Mission Donation Area.
